It is 98% original, with the exception of the water pump I rebuilt cause you can't buy email new, and a windshield wiper that I replaced. My uncle bought it 10+ years ago from the second owner. My uncle lived in Virginia and was an avid car collector for himself and clients he had. Well, because I am on the west coast and cars are usually a bit better shape here, he would send me a list of cars that collectors wanted back east. I was the west coast contact to locate, view and make offers on these cars according to what his buyers wanted. The 27 was for himself. I would get the cars stored at either my place or my dads. He would come out with the hauler, transport them back east to the buyers. The 27 didn't fit on the last load he hauled. He died suddenly before he could come back to get it. My aunt, his wife called and said that the title was signed and in the front seat of the car. It was now to belong to myself and to be given to my sons when the time is right. For now, I'm in love with the car, so they have to wait.

Those are amazing cars and thanks for sharing the story. Just out of curiosity where do you think the market for the pre-WW2 cars is going? I would have thought it is dwindling with attrition.

pre-WW2 cars are selling around the world .I have a friend that all he does is model T'S and he is very busy that dodge is one of his .I think he is selling it that's what he does. he brought that to my 2015 mopar show because that was the 100th anniversary for dodge

I don't see too many old pre war dodge cars in my neck of the woods. But they are around for sure. Of course nothing like the model t's, which I have been wanting to get one of those as well. Those are a dime a dozen. There is a guy listing a whole lot of model t bodies, frames, drivetrains. He is selling just the body tubs for $250 with doors and front grills. Granted they are in rough shape, but definitely rat rod worthy.

dodge is alittle harder to find but henry ford made 15 million model t's so there is a lot of them still in barns .if you drive one and you are going in it give yourself 30 minutes more to get where you are going
that's the rule of thumb with those cars

Lol, at least 15 minutes more. And no highway driving in them, obviously. There is a model t club in out area, they drive down the road to my house a few times a year during the summer months. It's a 50 mph road. But I don't think they are breaking speeds higher than 40 mph.

for sure I have been thinking about building one but with no muscle and comfort under my a## I just keep thinking about it

great picture thanks you don't see many dodge brothers cars

We definitely don't see enough of the old brothers. I see a few very dilapidated examples of them from time to time. With the occasional restored senior six motors. The fast four in mine was a limited engine run of about 7 months of production. The ones I see listed are not usually going for cheap, I understand it's a supply and demand thing. Lol. But I think the demand for them is very limited, even if the supply is not vast.
