My rear drum pretty badly. Think I know the culprit. Seems there is a different cable on the left rear than the right?

Been there, done that.

I wouldn't bother turning or replacing that drum though. Judging from the pics, they aren't that bad.
 
You think I can just ignore the groove? I don’t think the drums have been turned in their history. Thank you for your advice. I appreciate it.
 
That drum is fine.

The adjuster cable is the same for left and right sides, as are the springs and the rest of the parts (except the adjuster). Rock Auto has kits for all the drum brake hardware....return springs, hats & nails, cable guide, adjuster star wheel assembly, etc in case you want to do a little preventive maintenance while you're in there.
