This Beautiful 1971 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron 2 Door Hardtop is one of only 1,442 that were produced for the '71 Model Year! The original owner: Ezra Gackenbach from Allentown, PA. special ordered this highly optioned Imperial through Gehman Chrysler in Emmaus, PA. at a price of over $9,000 in 1971 dollars! Mr. Gackenbach sold the car in August of 1984 to Frank Benner that lived nearby. Frank only owned the car for a few years before selling it to fellow outside of Detroit in 1988 where it was hardly ever driven and was kept inside one of those car storage bags for almost all of the last 27 years! A buddy of mine who was a Big Shot at Chrysler and retired recently after almost 35 years of loyal service had bought this terrific Imperial just last summer from the previous owner of 27 years and started in on getting all of the necessary maintenance work performed on it after having sat for so many years. After getting her all fixed up and fully road worthy once again and having a little fun with her my buddy sold me the car so he could move on to his next project.

Although the Original Window Sticker I have with this car is not for this particular Imperial, it does go to an identical Imperial in color combination as well as having very much the same options. You will be able to see the cost of the various options that did in fact come on the Imperial you see here.

Some of the options on this very expensive Imperial were as follows:

Factory Power Moon Roof / AM-FM Stereo with Cassette Recorder / Power Leather Bucket Seats R & L with fold down armrest / Right Side Reclining Bucket Seat / Automatic Temperature Control / Rear Seat Heater-Defroster / Power Door Locks / Tilt & Telescopic Steering Wheel / Power Deck Lid Release / Cruise Control / Headlights Washer & Wiper / Automatic Headlight Dimmer / Sure Grip Rear End / All Windows Tinted / Safeguard Sentinel Lighting and more.

Recent Maintenance Work Done to the Car is as follows: New Brake Shoes, Disc Pads and Wheel Cylinders / New Rebuilt Brake Booster & Master Cylinder / Rebuilt Power Steering Pump / Air Conditioning Charged / New Left Power Window Gear / Changed Oil & Filter and last but not least was purchasing Brand New Coker Classic Whitewall Radial Tires for the car.

THERE ARE NO RUST ISSUES IN THIS CAR ANYWHERE! That in and of itself is incredible!

The Chrome on the Bumpers and all of the trim on the car is in near mint condition!

All of the incredible interior that you see is factory original including all four factory installed floor mats! And everything works as it should.

This Awesome Imperial LeBaron runs and drives like a new car and is a very quiet and tight ride as it has been lovingly pampered since the day she was brought home by Ezra & Lucinda Gackenbach.

Lastly, the paint and body. In 1976 the car suffered some sort of damage on the passenger side door and the front corner of the drivers side front fender. Mr. Gackenbach had a local body shop do the repairs and I would imagine those repairs no doubt looked good at the time the work was done but over the last 40 years since those repairs were made there has been some sort of shrinkage going on with the filler. Other than these repaired areas, I feel pretty confident that the rest of the car is all original factory paint. I have other pictures I can send that show more details of the repaired areas if interested.

The car is being sold as is. If you have any questions you would like to ask about the car please call Scott at (405) 203-4441 or email me at pentastarcars@cox.net

I love that car.

Very, very nice Imp!

I just don't think it will ever sell at $23.5k.....

This is bullshit.
$23.5k.
The bodywork is now showing.
To properly repair the past bodywork will also require a bumper to bumper premium quality paint job or the car will look like crap for the money.
So add a minimum of $6k to your purchase price.
Do not diminish how much that aging body work devalues that car because from one side it is a 20 footer.
For 23k, I want a total 101% turnkey in a better looking color.

I totally agree...

I bet Chris would say a paint job to your standards (and mine) is $12k or more.

A beautiful car but where does this person justify the asking price?

Hey, not a problem at all. I've done both of those things several times.....

I think I will sell eventually.. It could sell over here for that price, but of course the troublesome inspection, and added shipping cost will dampen buyer eagerness.. If it was triple black, or maybe even one of the gold shades, gold, I would have already bought it.. "Tahitian Walnut" is not my favorite color, but man.. the condition, and options.. (and the tires.. I like these, with a "slightly wider, than narrow" stripe..) :-D

I know that I'm stupid with colors.. I really like the "Tawny Gold" (Y9), and it is SO close to this one.. (Thank you Troy, for borrowing your photo)

No, unfortunately not.. it belonged to a guy called Troy, who is also here on FCBO.. he was trying to sell it a few months back.. it was missing the rear window, and he offered it at a very affordable price..

I really wanted it.. (I guess that does not mean anything, ha ha.. I want pretty much all Mopar cars..)

:-D
