Last weekend my wife and I decided that since the world is pretty much closed tight now it would be a great weekend, sunny and warm and all, to take and clean our yard. About an acre and a quarter.
We own a 5 acre unimproved parcel one driveway down from us. My plan was to haul the leaves over there as we usually do. Last trip on Sunday I am heading up the road into the lot and a police cruiser pulls in behind me. She gets out and says someone in the neighborhood had called and said I was dumping trash on an abandoned property. I assured her it was my property, and I was dumping my own leaves and brush. Finally I convinced her that I was not dumping trash, and it was my land, and she kind of pointed to the neighbors house that had called. Same neighbor I have see on that property walking their dog and collecting downed wood for her fire pit.
No trespassing signs went up.
She now is being charged with assaulting my son on law. And ripping down the signs.
Yesterday a logging contractor stopped to ask me if he could use my land as access to a lot on the other side of her. It would save taking up their tennis court.
Long and the short of it is he is also going to clear some of mine so he will have room for the chipper.
Some times Karma is amazingly fun.

This is a classic example of a win, win, situation. As for the neighbor who caused all this trouble, When you go to court against her, I would take it to the limit and have a restraining order put on her, this way she cannot come within a specified distance from you or your family, even if she is on her own property. Keep on her until SHE moves out.

Restraining orders are mostly not worth the paper they are written on.

It would have been neat to see her tennis court torn up but the logger would have to pay for it.

Repost the signs and place game cameras and catch her in the act.

I probably wont bother with a restraining order.
The tennis court is on the price they are going to chop. Different neighbor. Only way they could do it was me letting them use my lot for a landing. Timing was priceless. She will now have no words left on teo sides.
Signs were put back while the police were still there. Most times I've been given the finger since my ex wife split with me

I bet the neighbor and your ex were friends. Funny how all women think a divorce is the mans fault.
