First things first - I'm in the UK, which makes parts supply frustrating but not impossible.

So I'm about to bite the bullet, and finally do away with my factory fit 2bbl that is steadily getting worse. I'm lucky enough (thanks to the original importer not knowing what he had..) to have a period correct iron manifold and Carter 4bbl. However, rather than spend silly money getting a 50+ year old carburettor put right, I'm happy to go modern. Probably an Edelbrock AVS2 as it seems like an acceptable 'evolution' in my eyes.

So my question is, in order to keep carriage to a minimum... What am I forgetting?

Valley pan gasket
Supplementary port gaskets
Some kind of phenolic spacer/adaptor (I also have an aluminum manifold I might use, but it's spreadbore so would need a square bore adapter)
Pre heat crossover blanks
Carb (duuuh :p )
Carb studs?

Any suggestions welcome, as I can't exactly go out to a parts store for even basic generic bits - it will mean another $50 shipping from Jegs/Summit/Rock Auto plus whatever import duty the British government feels like adding :(

Thanks!

Your original air cleaner probably won't fit the carb anymore.

Year, make, model and engine size are important to know.

Get an Edelbrock carb with an electric choke and buy the MOPAR throttle linkage adapters. Might as well install a new fuel filter as well.

I think you have it covered. You should be able to find an intake manifold gasket kit that has everything that you need for gaskets.

Oddly enough I thought you were talking about of these
