Anybody ever heard of or seen a new or "late model" Charger / Challenger with muscle car era wheels on it, such as road wheels, rallye, or steelies with dog dish hub caps?

I think it would look cool. Not sure if it would bolt up, or how it would fit in the wheel well considering the new cars have the thinner style tires these days. I don't know much about the modern Mopar stuff.

I saw a "new" Challenger at the show last week with steel wheels and "hub" caps, but they were the new style Mopar spoked steel wheels they use on the Charger Cop cars, with a very small hub cap (about 3" o.d.)...more like a glorified grease cap. It didn't look that great. So that's why I think a "normal" slotted steel wheel might look bad ***...

On the subject of steel wheels, all of the new styles the big three are making these days look like hell. I don't know why they had to screw up a tried-and-true, simple design like the slotted or smooth steelie. I've even seen a lot of Crown Vic cop cars with unpainted (and rusted) steel wheels. What the hell?
:soapbox:

With the offset required, plus the size of the brakes on the metric Challengers and Chargers, you wouldn't be able to get a musclecar-era 14" or 15" on it, anyway. Who would want to??? An olds-style wheel on these would look ridiculous. The offset and such is what requires these later cars to run the wheels that they do. A 20" steelie wheel would weigh a BUNCH! Another reason wheels are what they are these days.

There are at least two manufacturers that make 20" Rallye wheels and five-spoke Magnum 500-style wheels, but because of the offset and size, they just don't have the right "look".

Do they have to be 20" wheels just to clear the brakes? Like I said I don't know much about the new stuff.

I like the new Challengers but don't like the huge spoked wheels and thin tires they run on them. I just thought it might look cool if it were possible to run something more conservative on them, if even possible to bolt it on. For wheels, a concentric design looks way better IMO, spokes look too choppy. I wasn't aware the cars were ALL metric these days. I guess "tony" only has metric tools in his chest anyways...

Are these 20" below? They don't look like it... If they just made slotted or smooth centers, with a provision for normal hubcaps, it would look better instead of the f**** stamped spokes.

Eighteens as a minimum. No way will an old-style 14 or 15 fit, plus the bolt pattern is NOT exactly the same between the old and new factory wheels. The brakes on the metric cars are HUGE, compared to what's on the old Mopars - or anything else new. You can have wheels like you want made by several different wheel makers, but they are going to have that offset where it will never, ever look exactly like the old wheel on an old car. It is physically impossible. Below is a new Challenger with a wheel close to the Magnum 500:
