Part of my family is from Delano, just outside the west edge of your map. Home to one of the best baseball parks in the state, plus they have a mega 4th of July celebration each year.

Does Minnesota have annual vehicle inspections and/or Emission inspections? Also do you have license plates on both front and rear of vehicle?
No inspections or emissions
and yes, plates on both ends for anything newer than a certain year, loosely enforced.

Okay...I've been watching the weather up there and it looks a little bit colder than western Pa. How do you guys deal with the minus temps?! I'm talking just every day life. Do you use block heaters on your daily drivers?
Tuesday coming up forecasted -26 overnight...

Dang!!!!! We see that in Pa with the wind chill at times, but few and far between.
I say Holy "[enter expletive here]", and walk quickly to my car and start it up (1998 Dodge Ram is the oldest cold weather driver) and shake for a minute of two, and start driving away. Years of conditioning that this is an acceptable thing to have happen every year. No block heaters, just an ice scraper and some warmer clothes and boots. I'll start my car when I'm at work on my lunch break, but it probably doesn't matter. PA is a much warmer state usually. I was in Philly for a year, got to see that last of the snow melt, that I was woken up to shovel. A rewarding feeling.
I believe "apparent temp" is actual temp plus wind speed consideration to formulate windchill temp or apparent temp...anyhoo this is coming to my neighborhood...
And you're in the warm part of the state.

Thursday here is supposed to be -4 with a windchill in the -20s. NOT looking forward to it.

Yeah but going out side like this as often as I have to pee now just won't cut it.
That's why I plan my "outings" carefully nowadays.............

We love to hear "it's a dry heat"! A friend in Tuscon said he would only go outside if necessary, and that he loved his air conditioning.

Well no offense but your friend is a wimp. Just like the guy in Minnesota that won't go out when it's 0 out. We can debate the miserableness of the heat and the cold all day long but the bottom line is you chose where you live. If you want to be able to drive and work on your classic car all year long and not have to worry about it rusting away you move to AZ. If you want to bury your car in a garage, or a snowdrift for 6 months out of the year and forget what it looks like then live in a cold climate. I've lived in upstate NY and AZ. Guess where I'm staying?

None taken, he was 6'6" and probably pushing 350 or more. I don't forget what my cars look like when they hibernate, I just look at my photo albums to keep my memory fresh!
