"modern" wiper arms

Hi Folks,

I just had a dilemma with a wiper coming off in the rain, went to the store and got some "modern" blades. Now, function before pretty here....(looks like CRAP tho, i might spraybomb the wipers silver:rant but has to work here in Oregon in the Rain. I have to say, huge improvement over the stock wiperblades... The problem is just that they are overall very flimsy on the wiperarms. Are there any arms with the hook I could upgrade to, maybe from a later model cbody? anyone done this? I searched google and the forum but came up with close to nothing...

Any input is greatly appreciated!

I use Bosch wipers on my 68 fury... they fit, and work fine. I'd rather have safety over originality.

I think thats what I had on the fury on one side.... when they were worn I took the "connector" off and put it on another wiperblade, worked fine and seemed sturdy. Cant find those anywhere, even the locations it says should have them... Its more of an "I can just put whatever blade on anywhere" thing...just in case lol.

It appears you are looking for "special" wipers not your typical replacement.

If all you need are refills but do not know the numbers (as the stores can not look them up anymore).
I do have the Trico refill number that is just the refill not the one the Stan posted.

Yes but they have no way to look them up.

I would need the whole blade. Hmm i guess i try if the ones i just bought fit on wifes car and then get the classics thank you for all that info!

I have found that the wide blade refills needed for our cars are available at Oreilly's Auto. Not available at the usual Autozones, NAPA, Pep Boys, etc. At least here in Calif.
