It looks like a 4-hour drive for me. I've been thinking of going to a US event either in Michigan or Ohio this year instead of Carlisle. This event in "Hickory Corners" (roughly Kalamazoo or Battle Creek) claims to be the largest Mopar gathering in Michigan, but it's only 1 day (Saturday July 25) and it ends at 3 pm? I wonder how far away it draws cars from.

I watched a video of the 2024 event showing the cars roll in. 20 minute video, I'm guessing maybe 200 - 250 cars shown. I don't know if it showed all of them that turned up.

For C bodies, I counted 9. Two '66 Fury converts, one I think '70 300, another fusey 4-door Chrysler, '67 4-door I think New Yorker with C-pillar windows, I think '65 Fury convert (official plymouth pace car 49 indy 500), '66 Polara wagon followed by a Fusey wagon of some sort, and a 68 Fury.

I'm wondering if there's an event that draws C-body people from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan ?

YEs there is a C body specific show where members from the areas you mentioned do attend.
C Body Show

9th Annual C body Show...

BTW, you have been on this forum long enough to know that!

The first few years it was at the Volo Auto Museum.
Organized by Tim,now last year Wyatt organized the show at a new location.
I drove from Kingston,Ontario in all of my 3 C's 752 MILES to be at the show.
2019,2022 and 2023!

Volo isin't top of mind for me because I remember reading they dropped C-bodies was it last year or two ago?

For me, Volo would have been 7 hours / 450 miles, driving all the way through the middle of Chicago (I drove a few times in Chicago on business 25 years ago and remember the traffic was brutal any time of the day). But driving through Toronto AND Chicago? You and two others driving 3 cars? Was there something else happening in ChicagoLand at the time?

The drive to Rockford IL for me would be 7.5 hours / 490-500 miles, which would put it exactly the same as Carlisle. I get it that early October is cooler but early September gives you an extra hour of daylight (for those long drives).

The Nats in Columbus frankly is looking more attractive for me. 5.5 hours / 330 miles. The only downer would be not seeing many or any FCBO people (who here goes to that?). If it came down to a choice between Carlisle and Columbus for me, my perception is more FCBO people at Carlisle and I would choose that again this year, but I really would like something different.

If I remember correctly, members here organized the show itself,Volo Museum allowed Tim and team to use the grounds for the show
C bidues were not 'dropped'.
Tim passed the torch to Wyatt and oragnized the show at a different venue and different date.
