new 318 rebuild no oil pressure

Hey guys new to the form and are stumped . my late brother had the 318 rebuilt bottom up. and have no oil pressure. crank is good and the bearings are the correct size. any other suggestions.

Could be an oil pressure switch or bad sending unit. I have went through about 3 of them on my 89 dodge ram . It is a very common problem. Do you have gauges or a dummy light? How do you know you are getting no oil pressure?

Guage ... It's a 1967 rebuilt.. Is there a sending uniting ? Oil pump seems tobe pumping just no pressure

Also no oil getting to the valves .. Leave the covers off for minutes and no oil

Prepressuring it with a drill? and turning it right direction?

Are all the internal oil passage plugs in place?

I would pull the distributor and oil pump drive and spin the oil pump with a pump drive and electric drill. See if there is resistance and if you build pressure.
