Thanks for the check and plan on going to Vegas for a month stay at the Mustang Ranch.
I'm driving my Mustang there and hopefully it will get worked on while I lounge around the
pool in my boxers.

The clips are what let it go. On some I see them held on by small chromed trim screws - and the hole is countersunk, so it's a factory part. This may have started in 66... I know the parts are slightly different and don't interchange sadly...

@Mike66Chryslers may be able to advise you here to avoid having the other one go missing. He's had those pieces on and off on his cars, so has more knowledge than I.
