Given the rust that is visible and from the look of the sail panel below the rear window, that car must have lived out of state for some time. Given the sequence number of the license plate on the vehicle, I would estimate it was purchased by the current owner outside California at least 5 years ago. Good looking vehicle for sure from a distance.

My 2004 Focus starts 5G so this plate is at least 12-13 years old.

I remember this one, and remember being smitten by it back then. 440 and 4dr hdtp, in red, stuck in my mind.
Don't like it as much now due to where the rust is, and the much-higher price.

Fortunately my way-back machine is still working. Listing was from 2013.

The rear plate numbers are the same in the 2013 CL ad (pic dated 2012) and in the present ad. The owner at the time was the daughter of the first owner, who passed in 2003. The current ad mentions a single owner, but the writing style seems different.

Good job on the observations. Perhaps the car didn’t sell, and daughter or her family still have it. Maybe a son or other family member did the new write up ???

My file on this one doesn't have full-size pics, only the rear view.
I noticed the 3rd brake light and pass-side mirror as being the details that suggest the same car (aside from the obvious red, 4-dr, 440 thing!).
And totally missed it had the same license plate #. :realcrazy:

The roof rust is a bit of a concern, the $10k seems high, but how many of us would be interested in it now at the prior $6000 asking price?
