1972 Plymouth Fury Custom Suburban 9 Passenger - eBay Auction - Tucson, Arizona

Ebay Description
THE MOPAR FAMILY TRUCKSTER !!! in pea green metallic

THE 4 door Hardtop was only built from 61-64
FAIR RESERVE ... bid on it to win!
One of the coolest Wagons to ever leave Detroit, and one of the rarest
LOW PRODUCTION MODEL WAGON.
Runs and drives, but have not been a daily driver for yrs.
The engine has a noise, which sounds like a rod knock at times, but I was
told it could also be the AC compressor making noise. So expect the worst
and hope for the best I guess. It's going to need some work to bring it back
to a reliable daily driver, but it's worth the time and cost.
I can't imagine that more than a few hundred are still on the road.
THIS is nice rust free Az car and will put a smile on your
face every time you go out to work on it.
I think it would RESTO-MOD very well or just do a nice original
restoration on it over time

We suggest viewing our auction on normal large monitors
and or tablet to get the most out of our large easy to view pics.
Desert Survivor being sold by a very legit eBay seller
If you have any concerns about our vehicle, please ask or dont
bid on it.
FEEDBACK !!! if you cant take 10 min to read thru our feedback
on the cars we have sold here over the last 10 yrs, then you also
shouldn't be bidding on our auctions. eBay offers our Feedback rating
for a reason,... try trusting it.

This MOPAR has been in Az for many moons, possibly its whole life. It was retired and
put away about 8 yrs ago where it was just driven maybe once a month to the
store. The motor has noise but it seems to come and go, and more under a load. I've
had one of these before making the noise and it turned out to be the AC compressor.
It's a 400 V8 auto car. Wide as hell and Az have been hard on the plastic and rubber but
the body, floors, and frame are 90% rot free. All the glass is good too except for
the windshield, I think it has a crack. I'll double-check. Starts up well when cold and
runs okay, but Im sure it will need a tune-up and prob some carb work. After it warms
up and I drive it, it's a little harder to start, but it does. The battery is decent. The tires are
older. The body is very clean, the paint is flat, the interior shows a lot of wear. Brakes feel great.
SEE PLENTY OF PICS BELOW TO SEE THE STORY.
MUCH MORE INFO BELOW
It's NOT RESTORED it is a used car and could use some restoration.

If you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to
make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: I won't end it early, sorry.

DRIVETRAIN: Under the hood is very complete for the most
part, and very original 400 V8 matted to your typical Dodge auto
trans. Drives down the road like a huge yacht. Again the motor
has power and drives okay, but I do hear a noise under load.
More like a rattle or knock. Factory AC, PS, and PDB.

INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, the cars been in AZ pretty
much its whole life and the interior mostly complete, needs some
restoring here too. The floors are very solid, carpet is toasty.
Its dilapidated yes, but not un restorable either. Glass is ALL good,
but the windshield I think has a crack. I couldnt get the rear window
to roll down yet, and Im pretty sure its a dual action tailgate. Goes
both down and swings out. No rot on the tailgate. The 3rd row
seats havent been used in over 40 yrs and is missing the seat bottom.
All 4 windows roll up and down but the tracks are very dry and they
do some help. Expect the interior to be very dry and old.
Think all the gauges work, didnt pay alot of attention to them when
I was driving it. Windows all roll up and down, doors all open and
Close, but the rear 2 can only be opened using the inside handles.

EXTERIOR: the body is very straight for its age, dont see too
much sign of any major damage, check out all the pics. Whats left of
the paint, is 40+ yrs of mother nature doing what she does best
to old enamel paint in the Az climate. Rest of the body is in pretty amazing shape as is the stainless trim around the car. They dont make cars like
this anymore, and its sad. But this one will live on thats for sure.
Cool factory roof rack too. The dog house may of been repainted once
in its life, but I dont see ANY signs of previous accidents or damage.
Its just weird how its faded less then rest of the car.
It commands alot of attention. Even AS IS with the paint issues,
people love it.

SUSPENSION: the suspension looks pretty much like the way
it came from the factory and complete. Im sure some of the bushings
are dry rot, and but Im sure the buyer has bigger plans for it.
The car comes with the original steel wheels shown in the pics
It WONT come with the 3 FORD F150 hubcaps. Just one of the original
DODGE caps.
BEST part about the suspension, Torsion Bar front end
Give it the rake it deserves.

CLEAN CLEAR ARIZONA TITLE IN HAND
Keep in mind, this is not a fully restored car !!
BUT IT IS BEAUTIFUL from any angle :)

I need this same car, just one that's been crashed in the front.

This particular one is way too nice to use for parts.

Jeff

Thanks, I saw that one a while back.

If I only needed a roof, technically that one would work, though I think it might be too decent to part out. But, I need both quarters too, so I need a rust free, most likely western or southern car. Last time I checked he wanted 4 grand for the yellow one, which is about 4 times more than I'm willing to pay for a parts car.

I can't justify cutting up a serviceable car to save a smashed one, so I need to find something that's wrecked in the front, or already half parted out.
