1977 Plymouth Gran Fury Sedan - $14,000 - Fresno, California

FB Description
THIS IS NOT A COLT!!! FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE REQUIRES A MODEL TO POST BUT DOES NOT HAVE THE CORRECT MODEL* 1977 Plymouth Gran Fury. Runs great. Recent repairs to carburetor and vacuum tubes and regular maintenance has been kept up. Lights work (Low/High Beams, Turn Signals, Running Lights, Brake Lights, Interior Cab light, Dash Lights). All four original hub caps included. Very Rare Classic. Strong automatic transmission. Would be a great collector project car, great for car shows. Known Issues: -Speedometer is Inaccurate -Catalytic Converter and Exhaust Line needs work or to be replaced -Full acceleration from dead stop will momentarily kill the engine (believed to be a carb. adjustment issue) -AC system doesn't work -Power Windows need repair

I hope that $14,000 is a typo. Or someone is really dreaming. A cracked dash and a early 80's Imperial hood ornament. But yet in almost too good of visual condition. With blue overspray in the jams means she's been painted.

Where they still painting roofs a different color in 77? I'm thinking not.

I would think a dealer would order a "Brougham" with a full vinyl top, back then. Perhaps it was ordered that way but with the possible repaint, the vinyl roof covering was removed? Paint looks too slick, to me, on the C-pillar.

That GM-type (which came in a GM accessory kit) 3rd brake light, too.

Might be worth it's orginal MSRP amount in current dollars?

drivers door mirror looks like its mounted too low or its incorrect ?
and its missing its wheel opening moldings too - maybe when repainted never put back on

Yea it definitely a Mickey Mouse mirror, shame as the passenger side looks correct.

Big *** receiver hitch on the rear. Wonder if it has the trailer tow package? Now that would be something a real Mopar fan would put in the stats.
Basically this is a non running car with a lot of mechanical issues, LeanBurn?

"Runs great" ='s "Full acceleration from dead stop will momentarily kill the engine".

"Catalytic Converter and Exhaust Line needs work or to be replaced" ='s Cali smog car that failed? or is it exempt?

"Driven 22,869 miles" ='s "Spedometer is Inaccurate"

"AC system doesn't work" ='s ATC I or II(?) this will be fun with the "Power Windows need repair ".

I wonder if that was his tow vehicle for that horse trailer. May explain the mirror issue. There is a small equestrian horse farm by my house. They had a beautiful i believe 78 Town & Country wagon that they bought new and used it only for towing their horses. He sold it in the mid 90's mirrors removed a little paint touch up and a lot of cleaning. He had it for sale for a big chunk of change at a car show. The story was amazingly different about the cars previous life. It was now a low mileage well maintained family vacation car. It had i believe 78,000 miles of nothing but towing. Lot of money for this car and a lot of issues for a supposed 22,000 mile car. Let see if it sells. As they say there is an *** for every seat.

Lots of repair issues, mismatched tires, fading in the interior that makes it 4 shades of blue, etc, etc, etc.
With a little patience soemone could find something a lot nicer for a lot less.
