I’m having no luck finding a OEM repo oil filter for my ‘65 Newport with a 383.
Every site I visit say “not available “ I’m wanting to keep the original look
Anyone knows where they are available? I don’t want to pay $ 90.00+ I found on Ebay. Thanks.

IF you want a period correct look, head over to Mopar Performance in their "Restoration" catalog. They used to have several different variations of those filters. Otherwise, seek out a Motorcraft FL-1A filter. Forget eBay for such things.

The Red/White/blue filters were a recreation of the over the parts counter filters from the early 70's.
Buy a good filter and blast it with some paint.

Which one are you looking for? Like pictured in post#3?

The red white and blue filter is the 72/73+ filter
About 67-72 was just blue on white.
Prior to that I believe they were black.

These are all service replacements not what was on the car from the factory.

Here is the 67-72 on on the 69 Polara CHP car

Keep in mind you may not get lucky and have the logo visible
on my 67 Barracuda

For a long time I just got the NAPA filter and removed the label, I'm thinking about making stickers that look like the all blue logo and painting filters white.

I wanted an old Direct Connection filter for my 440 so I made this. It's a Wixx filter with a vinyl wrap. I only recently put it on, and I don't know how the vinyl will hold up to the heat. The photos came out a little yellow.

If that holds up to engine heat, I would love a few. Not for free, of course.
