He's got this over on BBO as well. I feel that if your that anal about correct parts, or think that a judge is going to crawl under and look to see if you have the correct straps is a person that is far from beyond help and hope!

I have a 70 300 with a DOM of 10/69. Would that make the date code correct for you? If so I would swap you for any straps you have as I don't care about dates.

That would work. I have NOS straps from the later 70's with no date code and NOS bolts with different head markings. Let me know about the head markings on your 4 bolts.

well guys , i was at the 2000 letter car show in newwark ca . and garry goers himself was the judge for correct parts on the under chassi . and was the judges tie breaker on some calls . so yes under is just as important as the surface for the numbers of points n bucks . we went in my 64 k h/t . just drive there with it . never thought for a minute we would be placed in the street parade to the park were all the letter show cars had been placed in a horseshoe shaped presentation . and they placed us between a 64 k rag and a 65 l 4spd . was quite the event . its not a show car at all .
