And lastly, a 1978 New Yorker 2 door. 400 engine, mileage estimated at 110,000, guy claimed motor was rebuilt 10,000 miles ago, but I can not confirm that.

Please bear with me, I live in St Louis, MO, and only get to the cars every other weekend. They are about 130 miles away. If you are interested in something specific, please respond, I'll write it down, and as soon as I can I'll get pictures/info on the parts you want.

Thanks!
Cole

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I didn't know which one it belonged in since I am selling mechanical, interior, and exterior pieces.

I'm interested in the left wiper arm and the hood ornament off the 1978. Is the steering column tilt and telescoping? If it is, what color is it and what kind of condition is the steering wheel?

I will check into the wiper arm, hood ornament, and will get you pics of the steering wheel. Just to make sure, is the 78 the only steering wheel that will work for you? Or will the Newport ones interchange?

And forgive my ignorance, but I even googled "formal Chrysler" and couldn't find much...I'm not up in my lingo, what exactly does that mean?

Thanks for looking.

Here is the best pic I have of the 78, but that will change after this weekend. I am heading back and will get pics and info of whatever

Judging by what your not willing to sell I`d be willing to bet these cars are going to the arena! :rev_in_action:

I am less likely to sell those items, I guess. Everything is for sale, but those specific items are going to be priced higher.

The front clip would have been great to part out on the 74, but the guy that loaded it wasn't very careful. I was NOT happy...

Lights and stuff are still good though

The 1978 NY'er steering wheel will work for me as long as it is tilt and telescoping. Telescoping column has a black knob on the bottom side of the steering wheel / column that moves from the right to the left to unlock the telescoping action. That steering wheel has special machining that is required for the telescoping feature. I have a beautiful 3 spoke Grant real wood steering wheel that is impossible to adapt to NY'er just because of that special steering wheel required for the telescoping feature. Grant doesn't make anything for that application. The Newport steering wheel won't work for my application. Just a heads up, there are 2 access holes on the back side of the 1978 Ny'er steering wheel that you have to use to push the horn pad out to remove it from the steering wheel without damaging the horn pad.

Formal is just a term of endearment for the 74-78 NY'er because they where considered the most elegant and best crafted Ny'ers. Other years were called Slab sides and Fuselage (fusies). Commando is the resident expert on this site for the Formals. He actually engineered and constructed the only 4 speed formal on the planet.

FYI, I'm leaving for Green Bay on the 24th to see the Packers play at Lambeau. I should be back home in Maryland around the 1st of the year.

That is ok. That'll give me time to get the stuff taken off the car, and boxed up.

Thanks!
