G'Day People,
I'm Sneaking Over From the Fuselage Section.
I No Longer have a 55-61 But have owned a Few in the Past.
There's a Fella on Facebook over here looking for Help with his 61 Phoenix P/Steer.
I'm going to Post a Couple of Photos hoping You Fellas Might be able to help.
I'm Actually Doubtful as I Don't know that you had this Type of Steering Set Up.
However it Doesn't Hurt to Ask.
I had a 59 Custom Royal with this Ram Type Setup and Found the only Way I Could get some Seals was to have a Machine Shop Turn them up on a Lathe. (Nolathane)
They were a Pain. Every time you Bumped the Gutter while Parking you could just about Guarantee that you would need to Replace a Seal.
Thanks in Advance for Any Comments.

Before the "integral" power steering set-ups appeared, in many cases, the "linkage" set-up was used. Ford used it into about 1967-'68 on Mustangs and GM pickups used it in the earlier 1960s, as did Corvettes into about the 1970s. The Mustangs seemed to be famous for their dangling lines just daring something in the road to grab one, but seems that nothing took that dare.

Enjoy!

Where Part of the Problem Lies, Is in the Fact that, Just to be Difficult, Ford, GM & Chrysler All used Different Sized Seals in What was Basically Identical Equipment.
Don't ever Knock Microsoft, We'd have had 50,000 Different Operating Systems if it weren't for Them.
Regards, Tony.M
