While they will work, the button style changed to a slightly different style in 1977 (I think that was the year). Older style having a concave shape and newer having a convex shape.

Subtle difference that no one sane will ever notice unless pointed out... and then only when compared to older switches, but still a difference.

And those do not fit all cars, as around 72 or 73 the NY had the switches in a woodgrain panel in the armrest area. (likely the imperials also)
