I have the old Federal style pump on my Poly. Since this pump seems to be discontinued, wondering what others may have done or can recommend to change over to?

i switched my old pump to saginaw. bought as a kit from Boullchon performance came with all the brackets ,brand newpump ,pulley, lines and hardware. was around $495.00 IIRC. bolted right in with only a minor clearancing of one hole in one of the brackets works great and no leaks. totally recommend

Get with one of the derby guys and you can probably get the whole complete setup: pump, hoses, brackets, bolts, etc. for $50.

Here's the thing the polys never came with a saginaw. The la series 318s did, and the big blocks did. Even if you found a derby guy that could sell you ether a la small block series saginaw bracket setup, or a big block setup. From there you would need to adapt to fit.....

Understood, I have a plasma cutter and welder, I think I can rig up something, thanks.

If your set on Saginaw, go to 440Source and they probably have brackets for about $55. To save dough,
you can mount just about any Sag to these brackets. Get the mounting bolt set as well. Now if you
want an original Federal with brackets ( not sure if they fit your engine ) I have just listed one on
Kajiji that's like new. Here's a pic: 001.jpg

Why do I have a sinking feeling I'm about to go into a dark and painful place.....but thanks ;-)

It's $50 from them or $500 from Bouchillion for some shiny parts.

Most of these derby guys are trashing a car that's going to the crusher anyways.

LOL...maybe I was misunderstood....I meant by going into the derby forum I was going to see some pretty cool cars that probably shouldn't be there... '-)

Yup....probably some of them are there too.

Sometimes there is no choice. I needed a power brake booster for my 78 Newport. Only a 77 or 78 Formal booster will work. You can't find one on this planet. Cardone doesn't have any and won't have any in the future. I'm checking to see if I can send my OEM one to them to R/R for me.

Working on that....tried pulling the pulley, bent it and still didn't come off, have a friend with a different puller working on it, thanks.

You need that puller to put the pulley back on too. Don't hammer it on...you'll ruin another pulley for sure. AAP and AZ have a loaner puller and it has a written and visual aid to show you how to do it.
