Hi everyone,
last year the door glass of my 72 Newport Coupe cracked and I had to look for a new one to replace it. After a while I found another 72 Newport Coupe at the scrapyard and got the passenger side door glass from this car.
I now restored all the plastic mounts and tracks on the windows but when I tried to reassemble everything I noticed that the mount position of the front stop is different between both glasses. So now the upper stop does not work on the driver side because the metal part in the door does not touch the stop in upper position.
My car is from 9/71 and the car we took the driver side from was built in 3/72, so there should be no differences right?
Any idea why this up stop is at a different location on these windows? Is there another metal part that might be mounted to the right hole in the door metal seen on the image 2?
Thank you for your help
