Just finished this up tonight and wanted to share. The rear deck was rotted out, I'm not sure what it was even made of. I decided to rebuild it and cover with vinyl to match what I'll be covering the dash pad in.

Materials:
Thin plywood from Home Depot, almost as thin as paneling
Marine vinyl
Spray Adhesive

I'm happy with it, can't wait to get the rest of the dynomat installed and then onto new carpet!

I have been thinking of doing the 6 / 9 rear speaker route as I did as a kid in so many cars back in the day in the late 60's / 70's. This looks good. My problem and if I may ask what head unit did you use and is it hidden or replaced the stock unit? I refuse to do as a kid and drill the underneath of the dash to stick in a slide tray and wire up a Pioneer SuperTuner. LOL.

I put a keyword deck in. Kdc-bt362u was like $90 on Amazon. It fits in the original radio slot with a panel. Not going to win any SEMA awards with the install, but it works.

I like that it has Bluetooth so I connect with my phone to stream Pandora while I drive.
