Recasting steering wheel options

Mine was identical to the '69 Polara above.

After i paint it classic gold metallic, im thinking about stitching black leather at the spokes.

What materials did you use to patch? Looks good.

I inquired after your comment. Like other comments herein, he used JB Weld and then he said he put on 9 coats of paint. I took a closeup. Very nice!

I had mine done in Denmark a few years ago, it was less than a $1000AUD, he did a marvelous job fully recast in original colors. I will see if I can find him again for you.

I believe that @bluefury361 had a clear one recast for his 61. He may be able to lead you in the right direction.

The translucent portion of those wheels was crystal clear when they were new so you could see the chromed metal ring inside. Some had gold metal flake imbedded in the clear portion. They are awesome when done properly.
