Got the dash for the glove box door and the cap. I’m going to use it as vin rivet removal practice and I’m sending it to ABC to be redone so mine is not laid up waiting without a dash.

How is the key still in the switch when the dash has been stripped ????

It’s now at is new home sweet home.

Do you have the information on this yard? I am really interested in the fury.
It’s a pretty solid California desert car. I’m hoping to get the taillight harness but I’m not doing anything unless they break it up. I’ll see what he’s asking. It’s a little private yard in the high desert.

Some kids used the roof as a trampoline. It’s caved in pretty good. Looked like it’d been sitting forever before they got it. It was getting dark and it was more of a cool distraction than my main mission so I just gave it a quick once over ( and looked at the washer bottle LOL ). Look at the tags and I think it was on flat bias plys too. My first thought was it would make a great cop car replica.

Great score, nice set of tail light lens assemblies. Those are hard to come by in good shape.

I have been looking around for a decent extra set for a few years now just as a spare. I already have a 69 grill and headlight bezels. You are lucky to have such places around you.

It was a chore. This is what I was dealing with. First one is real next two I cranked the light up on so you can see. Man I wasted too much time drooling over that 4 door LOL. Good thing I had light to unload the trunk everything else was black opps style. Pulled those lights by Braille.

Super windy before the big storm. The wiggling v dub did not inspire confidence.

Are those tail lights up for sale for the 69???

I was going to get them as spares. A member asked me about them because some nut drilled holes in his. Crazy right ? Well I told him if he needed em I’d give em up if not I’d just as soon keep them as spares because- - - You never know...

But then again everything has a price or I’d have over 100 cars in my driveway. If it doesn’t happen I’ll shoot you a note. They are driver quality at best.

Congratulations on finding parts! Is ABC still restoring those dashes? I know they started and were very successful, unfortunately I remember reading (here I am fairly certain) that they were difficult and time consuming to restore, and would no longer be doing them. I hope I'm wrong. Perhaps they adjusted their price to reflect the extra work involved?

Way back in time when I lived in New York we drilled holes in our taillights to allow the water to drain out

I just saw and spoke to him and they are selling them like a madman. It does take a bit of time that’s why I found the spare dash cap core. He said the only big problem is handling your vin tag. He doesn’t want any part of it. You have to remove it and then send in the dash - he does not provide the special rivets. I picked new rivets for $10 each from Julius, they are NOS or exact repros. And at $20 the extra dash was basically free.
