Removel of trunk led

Can someone please advise me the best way to remove my truck led 1968 fury.

Led is a light bulb.

Take the four bolts out & slid it off the hinges. Easy. The putting it back on is a bit hard.

Key is to leave the hinges alone and slide the lid off the hinges rather than unbolt the hinges from the body.

Good advice thank you, I did notice wires to tail lights runs inside lid. Looks like that might be fun threading them back through.

Just unplug the harness.

When you pull them out, attach another wire or string to the end, then leave that wire in the lid and use it to pull the tail light wires back through when you put it back together.

While it's possible to do it by yourself have a helper. It's really a two man job. One on each side.

A couple "gauge holes" drilled near the bolts can aid in re-aligning when you replace the lid. Try smmething like eighth inch. LC

I have done that. I drilled a hole that a small finish nail fit into perfectly.
