I am replacing the rear U-joint on my 67 Monaco. I removed the 4 small bolts/screws and The holding clamps and have the driveshaft supported. My question is if it is OK to now remove the driveshaft to make it easier to remove and replace the old u-joint? Or should I leave the driveshaft in and work under the car? I’m doing all this in my backyard on the ground.
Sorry for such a stupid question but it’s been 30 years since I’ve done this. Not sure if it’s really hard to put the driveshaft back in once it slides out?
