duke - i was there too.

on the cheap, sand that all out, then seal that with por15 on both sides, fill in the holes/voids with the por15 goop in a tube they sell and a putty knife. let that cure a day then have the vinyl put on and hope you outlive the repair.

for a proper fix, it costs a lot. unless you can weld. and have a lot of time.

I por15 pookied all the holes and voids, then I did about a gallon can of truck bed liner rolled on with a paint roller

Sometimes, the alternative ways to do things can work out well! On the older cars, a roof panel was usually only done at the assembly plant. If a car needed one, it usually "totaled" and went somewhere else.

On newer vehicles, the roof skins are designed to be replaced. Somewhat easy to do! But not the older architecture/design vehicles.
