As many of you may know I reversed the rear shoes on Goldie many years ago, resulting in the rear brakes dragging and heating up. This resulted in a vibration on longer rides, which turned into short rides last fall.
This has been my first c-body and I had no reference before and after my brake job, because she had no brakes from sitting 32 years.
I still really don't notice a difference in acceleration, but now she just glides rolling down a slight incline. I have a small hill right before I get to my house, before I might pick up 1 mph rolling down the hill, now it is like 4-5 mph.
Plus I didn't think I could be happier with the braking after converting to discs, but they are clearly better too. I had an agression stop last weekend while driving around 50 and she stopped on a dime, straight as a arrow, and in what amazed me a very short distance.
Life is good!
