Sad but true

We're solved.I never saw the cacer coming. I's moving fast. I had just decided to get TTI headers installed this spring
Believe it or not I'm sitting here getting chemo treatment now..

Everything put on hold for now. Today should be last treatment

Hey I hope you don't mind me asking... how did you first become aware of the oral cancer ? were there symptoms or how did that go wth the diagnosis. Could it have been caught earlier, maybe someone else could benefit hearing about
 
Well Detroit, it started with my gum starting to pull away from one ofy molars. I thought maybe it was gigivitis or some gum desease. I had stopped going to the dentist at least ten years and my teeth were frankly in terrible condition. I couldn't afford to get them fixed at that time. Well it got worse. My cheek on that side started to swell. It was then I started going to the ER. I went several times and they kept telling me it was a bone infection in my jaw. Finally in one doctor told me to go to a maxillofacial surgeon
He biopsied the area and 3 weeks later told me it was cancer
Of course that was during the height of CO VID. He sent me to a specialist at University of Maryland. It was almost another 3 months before they did the surgery in February 2022.
