I like pocket watches. I got a couple when I was a kid that were my grandfathers when he passed. I'm not a real fan of wrist watches for a couple of reasons. I wouldn't mind carrying one, but I just haven't found the right one for the right price. I saw this the other day when it was still single digits and though it was cool and would be fun to car when at car shows. Unfortunately it is more than I'm willing to pay, so I'll just have to admire it in pictures. From a little research I'm thinking it is from the 30's or 40's.

I think it would be fairly expensive to attempt to replicate something of this nature.

Was that even the Chrysler logo back in the 30's and 40's? My fisrst thought when I saw it was "fake".....but I could be wrong?

To bad they don't say who the maker is, that would dictate how expensive it gets.

O.K. John, You wanted to buy it BUT? Ask the seller to P.M. you with a Buy it Now Price, No Big Deal. You buy it and when we hook up in July I'll hand you a FOB for it. My gift to you, Jer

Knowing the maker would help establish some value.

I did some quick research. This was a new logo done in 1926 for IIRC the world's fair.

Generous offer, but I most likely won't be buying it.

It's not hard to replicate that at all. An old cheap pocketwatch, a color printer, and some laser or acid etching.

If you don't wear Levi's or ah vest with a watch pocket in 'um it'z moot. I still have an 18 size 21 jewel open face with that watch fob attached, I just don't wear it anymore.
