Side middle trim help

Hey guys.

Working on some minor rust spots on my 74 t&c wagon.
Now there is a little rustspot unter the middle trim on the door. Also the same chrome trim is of on the back door,got the trim with the wagon.
Now im wandering can i take the trim on the side door of easy or wil the clips brake most likely?
Anyone know what clips they are and whare to find them? Or maybe a 3 d printfile.
Also a pic of a clip might help. Thanx guys

It's going to be hard to find someone who can answer your question. Very few people have taken any of the '74-'77 wagons apart for restoration work. Most of the surviving cars are either all original, or were repainted decades ago when the clips were less than 20 years old and could easily be reused.

If the trim needs to come off to fix the rust, then you just need to be careful removing it and hope for the best. The hotter the climate that the car came from, the more likely that the clips will break. The part number for the clip is usually molded into the clip. If you can find a part number, you can google it and see what's available. There are some clips that are reproduced if they also fit B or E body cars.

Since you are missing the clips for the tailgate trim, you'll need to find access to a '74-'77 parts book to see if they list part numbers for the clips. Sometimes the clips were not available separately and only came in a package with the new trim piece. Back when new, the trim pieces only cost $5-$15, so Chrysler didn't bother selling the clips by themselves. You could check on MyMopar.com to see if they have a PDF of any of the parts manuals.

New clips can be 3D printed if you know someone who can scan them or design a new clip for you.

Wel i went ahaed and took a strip of the side door and found there clips. No idea if thats something original tbh. Dont think so.

I agree. The metal clips look like universal replacements. The plastic clip might be an original one.

I believe those clips are original. Here's a pic from eBay of the retainer package. Those were sold, but I see Arizona Parts with our own @marty mopar has them in stock. You need to double check the part number though. Parts
