When I was a child (born 1955) my parents had that exact same turquoise vacuum. It lasted until the early 70s, still running but was getting beat up and worn out, so they replaced it with.....a new tan Electrolux with more fancy attachments and a "power brush head". That item worked perfectly until my mother passed away in 2019 and I tossed it. Amazing quality and robust construction.
They are highly collectable items now and decades ago one of my customers that had a rug cleaning business got quite a few from his customer base that he wanted to restore, he approached me to that and I passed as I had no clue as to where to get parts but I'm sure they were still available back then in the early 80's.When I was a child (born 1955) my parents had that exact same turquoise vacuum.
