Steering Column removal

I forget how I did it to the parts car, and I'm pretty sure that wasn't the painless way, I'd like to remove it so I can reinstall the dash.

been a while, but i want to say there was a roll pin above the steering box that had to be removed. you don't have to remove it to install the dash. remove all the column bolts (three on top and three at the firewall)and the column should drop about half way to the floor.put your two bottom dash bolts in loose. the bottom of the dash has two tabs that sit on these. just set the tabs on the bolts and roll it up into position.
