It would be interesting to find that any of the A or B body sunroofs would have any parts that would fit the C body ones. Most of the A and B body ones were manual ones, not electric motor driven as in the C bodies.

I have 4 C body sunroof cars, none of which I consider parts cars. I have not started restoration of any of them yet, but I have taken steps to find some parts I will need. Here is a summary page from my file of the contacts I have been able to find through much research. The ASC contact itself isn't much helpful, as they referenced Jake Kelly, who I was already aware of.

Please let me know what you find out if you contact any of these guys, as it has been a couple years since I last talked with them.

Jake Kelly is getting up there in age and I hope he is doing well. Nice guy. And he is the contact that will most likely have the parts you will need to get your sunroof operating again.

Good luck in your search.

Steve

Thx one and all, at present the car is getting an engine rebuild (US $6000) + $??? whatever else is found to be faulty as the parts are removed to remove the engine.

If I recall correctly, the air-conditioning is inoperative along with the electric vent windows but all will be gone over as I don't want to risk the car if there is doubt about wiring etc.

There's a little bodywork, but overall she's good.

The car wasn't ordered with a sunroof, I considered obtaining and installing one as I like them and it's one of the only options (I think) that it doesn't have. If one can be located with all parts and wiring loom etc, I'll consider installing it, after discussing whether it's too costly to install. The only one I could find was the 1973 Detroit Auto Show car which was red with white roof at Murray Park's place, but it was being paid off so it'll get restored.

Work is being done by Jim Wagner and staff at Classic Mechanics in Neenah, WI.

I'm visiting the US/Canada in November and look forward to cruising the Fox Valley in my LeBaron.
