Still looking for a complete/working sunroof for my 77. After a year and a half of looking, i still havent come across anything reasonably priced. If anyone has any leads or info, please let me know. Thanks, Mike

Because it's on another NYB, now....
I believe Nigel up in Canada has a car in his yard now with one.

National Moparts but I just checked with a friend who was there last weekend and he said the car is gone.

Ok guys, (polara you were right), last night I figured I would check a few ads before I went to bed and found a sunroof. Problem is, it came out of a 74 imperial. I've always heard that the 4&5 imperials carried a different sized panel than the newyorkers. Any truth to this or just BS?

Which panel?
The sliding panel? P/N's will tell you.
The headliner changed in '76 (?) so............

The headliner is approx 3in or so lower than the actual sheet metal for the roof. The panel I'm talking about is the actual slide panel. I think everything else is the same.

Anyone else have any info. I've only come across the imperial part numbers and nothing for the newyorker

I just checked my 1976 Parts Book.
It shows the sunroof for all lines except P-D-C.
I searched all 23 sections - no P-D-C sunroof.
I checked the service manual.
No mention of a P-D-C sunroof.

I tried man, I really tried...

Update:
I talked to a friend who installed a sunroof in his '78 Salon.
It's the same sunroof BUT....
The 76-78 cars with the sunroof continued to use the 74-75 cloth headliner in lieu of the updated 76 - 78 molded headliner.

The reason the headliner is 3" lower is because the sunroof and all components are housed in a "tray" that is screwed near the outside of the sunroof that is visible with the headliner down. Getting to a couple of rust areas under my St Regis roof car was necessary to remove the inside side panels etc. This is how I seen this plus if I remember it it shown in the Factory Service Manual.

Thanks a lot commando. I truly wish I had the connections and resources you guys have. In due time I guess. Pete, I figured as much. Thank you. What areas did you have to replace? I didn't notice any issues with mine but maybe I need to inspect it a little better? My headliner wasn't a 1piece. It was somewhat of a cloth 3 piece that folded up when removed

Also, I didn't mean to sound pushy with asking for info. Just in kind of a rush. The guy that has it lives approx 4-4.5 hrs from me and I wanted to make the drive ASAP before someone else caught wind of it and tried to sneak it out from under me

After we removed the back seat, rear seat side panel and rear window trim the headliner was pulled away from the outside glued sections. This then exposed the nuts for the stainless trim that goes over the roof. The small rust area was under the vinyl roof and crept outward. Did you have a service manual to look at the completed power roof assembly? Perhaps you could compare that one to the donor cars info and pics in the service manual.
