TFX International Specialized Vehicle Transport - WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY WHOSE MOTTO IS " WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE "

So what's this $1428 for, then? Where's the estimate for $65k?

Read the posts again, Hagerty was involved in coming up with costs to fix the car to how it was. Everyone bagging this bloke would be pissed off too if some idiot damaged their pride and joy, either as a result of negligence or by abusing the **** out of it while the owner isn't looking, which appears to have been the case with this car. I read the reactions from some on here and immediately think tall poppy syndrome on display, not good. Not just about the value or provenance of a car (not sure that applies in this case, the provenance thing), it's the principle that matters, hope he sues the transport company and wins. I'm editing this post to add that I don't like people boasting about their wealth, it's an egotistical trip which is not an endearing quality, some comments from the OP did come across that way and it seems to have annoyed some on here, understandably. But he is doing the right thing by others to warn them about that transport company. Most people, when screwed over by a company or individual, do not have any recourse for compensation due to the expense in obtaining legal assistance, and these scumbags know that they are pretty safe to continue to rip off others with impunity. Goodwill and honesty are not valued in the current dog eat dog world that we live in, and neither are people, it's all about money, so I hope this transport company is ordered to pay up for their stupidity and arrogance.

I think the OP's original point stands. He paid for a specific service. The shipper agreed to those specifics. He's pissed. I think we can all understand that. Now, if I had that kind of dough and those kind of cars. I'd go get it myself. Or have one of my employees, trained the way I want them trained, go and get it. The rest will take care of itself.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing, if pockets are deep enough, I'd go get it myself or be present when picking it up in my own enclosed trailer.

I have read thru this more than once, and I need to stop wasting my time on it.
OP's most recent posts are gone but some of it lives on in quotes.

Overall it really doesn't make sense.
Car is noted as being sold Nov 2023, and there was noted a price drop to $70k.
Then Mar 7th it sounds as if it was just bought - and doesn't read like it was bought back, it reads like it was bought for the 1st time.
Then later we're suing for $250k for a car we originally listed for sale for $100k <1yr earlier.
I've asked some questions about some things that don't make sense, but of course the OP doesn't answer them, he just disparages us instead.

And as I've said earlier, this has gone beyond just a warning to other folks, this is a trying-to destroy-someone's-business rant.
Posts 1-2 would have been more than adequate to accomplish a warning.
And FWIW, the company has a 4.5 on google reviews with lots of satisfied folks. Dis-satisfied people always scream the loudest.

Thank you for your message. As many of you know, this matter is currently before the courts, and as expected, the legal process takes time. At the request of counsel, I removed my most recent post; however, I stand firmly by all previous statements, as they are accurate in every respect — including the one that was removed.

A company such as TFX should not be allowed to treat customers unfairly without being held accountable. I speak from extensive professional experience. I previously owned the largest heavy-haul transport company in the Fraser Valley — Alltrac Transport Inc. — which I built from a single truck and lowbed to a fleet of 16 tractors and 21 specialized low-bed trailers. I am very familiar with Motor Carrier standards, regulations, and cargo insurance obligations.

TFX advertises cargo insurance coverage of $250,000 per vehicle, yet they have repeatedly refused to provide the insurer’s contact information so that a proper claim could be filed. This raises serious concerns regarding their accountability and professionalism.

For those questioning my credibility, I encourage you to review the many public experiences shared at www.TFX.reviews.

The Contracted Service — and What Actually Happened

I paid for a premium, direct transport from the Boat Wholesalers’ large heated indoor storage facility straight to my garages in New Brunswick, where my yard staff would have driven the vehicle directly into a heated building.

Instead, in violation of the written contract, the car disappeared for three weeks. During this time, extensive damage occurred while under the control of TFX. As a result, the vehicle was delivered not to my contracted location, but to AJM Classics in Moncton, NB, where it ultimately sat for more than 18 months.

AJM later estimated over $60,000 would be required to restore the vehicle to the condition it was in prior to TFX’s involvement.

Condition of My Vehicle Upon Delivery

After relocating to New Brunswick in late August, I went to AJM Classics to pick up my 1966 Oldsmobile Tri-Power Convertible, which had been there originally for a new clutch, factory rims, and Redline tires, and to inspect the Frank Elliot 472 Hemi vehicle.

AJM had been storing the car for nearly 18 months because we wanted to give TFX the opportunity to review the extensive damage themselves — something they never once took us up on. Meanwhile, storage costs continued to accumulate.

Due to these ongoing expenses, I eventually had the vehicle transported to my home garage on a 5-ton deck tow truck.

Upon inspection, we discovered that the vehicle had sustained significant mechanical damage due to improper handling by TFX. Both carburetors and their air filters had caught fire, completely burning through the filters and melting the float bowls. The car is now non-operational as I would not drive it .

This is particularly troubling given we have clear video evidence of the vehicle running flawlessly at the time TFX picked it up — including footage of it being driven in the snow, again in violation of the written contract which required enclosed, temperature-controlled transport.

Current Mechanical Condition

The vehicle now requires evaluation and repair by a certified high-performance shop. The carburetors must be removed, rebuilt, and reinstalled, and a full engine inspection is required to determine whether internal damage has occurred. The engine is currently experiencing severe backfiring from over-fueling, indicating the possibility of deeper mechanical issues. This a 472 Hemi with Stage 5 heads built by Frank Elliot himslef for this the last car he ever built which took him 10 years as his personal masterpiece that simply cannot be replaced.

Why I Am Speaking Out

For TFX to claim that I am “bad-mouthing a reputable company” is entirely false. This situation could have been resolved quickly and professionally had they simply forwarded my claim to their insurer — exactly what any responsible carrier is obligated to do. Instead, they have chosen to avoid accountability while insisting they are “not responsible.”

They operate in a way that creates the impression they are untouchable — as if they dare you to try and hold them accountable. Well, they’ve chosen the wrong person.

This appears to be their standard operating procedure: deny, delay, and refuse to provide access to their insurer.

After more than a year of stalling, avoidance, and denial, I have instructed my legal team to advance this matter without further delay. I am fully prepared — and genuinely looking forward — to having my day in court.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with support. I will continue to stand by the truth and ensure that what happened to me does not happen to others.

You just can't help yourself, can you?
Your lawyer told you to remove a post, and would probably like you to stop totally, but you just can't stop talking about this.
You claim you just want to warn others, but you did that on post #1.
You keep proving you are simply trying to damage this company's reputation, as you have no other connection to this site whatsoever.

$1500 worth of damage, assessed by AJM upon delivery, has now escalated to $60,000 - after AJM had the car in their possession for 18 months.
18 months!!!
It's also interesting that a car you had for sale for $100k, and then $70k, and then marked as sold, now justifies $250k in damages.
You were so concerned about your car about some road salt that you never opened the hood and saw those carbon-black damaged air filters (that you claim TFX did)???
If I can think of these things, so can the other team's lawyer. Think about that.

I don't know how Canada does civil trials, but if it's before a jury I'd recommend you don't brag about all your cars and your bigrigs - nobody feels sorry for a guy who owns an airplane.
