Here is the Jerry Churchill Lebaron. This was at Norman Negrees race car shop outside of Concord, NC. My friend & I were comming back from a car show in Winston-Salem & he knew about the car. So we decided to stop & ask about it since we where travelling close to his shop. He was very nice & showed us around the place. Lots of Winston Cup cars in there since it was right after the Bristol race. He ran a body shop that many NASCAR teams used him for. His dad & sometimes Norman ran a Chrysler car in ARCA or NASCAR. More on that later. So here it is. The real deal. I want to say they built the car. Not sure. It could have been mine for $600. I say these pics where in 1992

Roy Payne

ARCA rookie Roy Payne got a deal to run a Lebaron. Family owned race tam out of Alabama. While at Negree's shop he showed us this car he repairing for the Payne team. If I remember correctly it to was crashed at Atlanta & I believe Norman said engine blew & oil got under the tires & into the wall he went. I have no idea who the tall slender good looking guy with the Magnum PI mustache is He does look familar though.

Negrees car?

While at the Negree shop. He showed us this car. It was in the paint booth & had just been painted. It was stunningly beautifull. He would not let us take a pic. Going off memory, but I believe he said this was his ARCA car he had just built. I dont think it raced much because I followed the series close during the Chrysler era & I only remember it being raced a couple of times.

Wow! Very cool pictures. I was lucky enough to be around some of the brand X ACRA stuff as a kid. Those were the days! SCCA, ARCA, Kelley Challange, Kendal GT-1, etc. were all very cool Thanks for sharing.

Ah yes the Kelly Challenge. Remember Patti Moise. She was the Danica Patrick of the 80's. Except she actually ran up front

Bob,

I worked for Dick Danielson for quite a few years. Patti was well known for Danica-like activities for certain.

What ever happened to her. Didn't she get married to Elton Saywer. He drove in the NASCAR Busch series
