The Petrozzini Collection being sold at Mecum Chicago

Featured Lots for Chicago 2019 Collector and Classic Car Auction

This Petrozzini guy passed away but I bet he was a cool car guy to hang out with. Take a look at his collection. Pretty cool. I think cool enough to start a museum with. I don't know anything about him or his family. Looks like it's a fire sale to get rid of all of his stuff that he was collecting since the 1960's. Oh well, numerous people are going to be able to get a car or two of his and maybe do something great with it.

Some dang cool stuff in that collection. My favorite of the bunch is the '66 Hemi Coronet convert. The '58 300D is a very close second.

I'll have this one, thanks!

I believe the first 2 hours of today's auction was all of his cars. They all sold at no reserve.

Some very high end KR500 Mustangs. One sold for almost $200k.

There is a black/red 1965 300L 'vert for sale in the same auction. Factory 4-speed. It comes from the Frank Karabetsos collection in Sugar Grove, Illinois.
