So you may remember last summer, user Tallzag had a '68 300 convertible for sale. There was a bit of a mystery as it sold, and I piped down.
It arrived here today. Needs a bit of carb/ignition work, and interior work at some point. I waited a long time for a survivor, and I'm glad I did. Thanks to Sportfury70 for the heads up.

Interesting it has Oregon plates. Would you sell me those Rob if they are in great shape? I can register my car as a historic vehicle here in Oregon with those plates!

Congrats! She looks good (and would look better with some Magnum 500's). You should have your voltage regulator any day now.

Congrats on your new ride! You have great taste. :).

any chance you could share some details on the 500s you ordered? I have long wanted the same thing for my ‘68 300. My interim solution is 1969 300 hubcaps because they are 15”, but the Magnum 500s transform the look.

Nice machine! Had to see more pics so looked up the original ad-
SOLD - 1968 Chrysler 300 Convertible for Sale
Very clean rust-free body! You might want to think twice about the magnums, there are fitment issues with the discs. The original covers are rare and cool, although nice plastic centers are hard to come by.

I wonder when your car was built? Being that both of our cars have a silver tail panel, they changed to black later in the year. My fender tag shows Dec 6, 1967, the code is C06 on the bottom line.

Just looked at the original ad, the photo of the fender tag shows the build date is A05, so October 5, 1967. A very nicely optioned car, lots of desirable options. I like that it has a console.

I ordered 15x7 Magnum 500's from Jegs as I had a coupon. I have a set on my other '68 300 and they've been decent. I'm told the newer ones are better.

One strange thing about this car-no light group option. So no glovebox light, and no fender mounted turn signals. Can't say I've ever seen that before.

Very interesting, I was thinking it could of been because it could of been special ordered (code u1) but that's not the case I see. Hmmm......maybe because it's an early build?, otherwise I got nothin

Alright it's home, woohoo. Congratulations Rob on buying the car and it now being home, I know you always wanted a '68 300 vert and you like survivor cars and I remember you told me that it would be home soon. Keep us posted if you would like if anything else is done to it.....
:thumbsup::)
