I'm glad it's going to be restored. Love the skirts! Helps it blend in...

Did Mopar use their own transmission behind the 426W?

Automatic yes. In the early 60's the 833 4 speed wasn't on the market yet and they used some Borg Warner 4 speeds. They didn't hold up well with the high horsepower wedges. That was 62 and 63 if I remember correctly. In 65 a 833 would be the correct transmission.

Wonder if the owner is on the forums here? If not he should be. Very unusual car to say the least! Probably one of one or very few 4 dr 426 4 speed cars. Anyone here ever seen another?

Cool story, cool car! 6 months, it will be a BJ going for 125,000.

I remember there was a 66? Fury wagon with a factory big block and a four speed, anyone know what happened to that?

This one has been here before, I think I posted it up in the Mopar Related Image thread as the previous AD didn't have a lot of pictures and I believe it was before the Whiskey decals/paint appeared on it so it looks like someone snatched it up.
I searched for it and just recently posted in the thread but I didn't have time to browse through all the thread. I'm sure it's around here somewhere in the past years postings.

.

this 65 sat ht was a shine runner too , the guy keep his intake n carb setup . its a 383 4spd with air . trunk lid has had a crowbar action and there was signs of jar lids and broken glass in the straw in the trunk and its got some railrood coil springs between the re and the frame . i kept it from becoming a chicken coop , lol .

I recall someone posting a 65/66 police 4 door, 4 speed highway cruiser from a car show, quite a while back.

Can’t recall if Dodge or Plymouth though.
