your jumping to conclusions. It was ONLY a questions, drum brakes QUOTE="Turboomni, post: 413967, member: 4732"]Finally someone trying to put on too small a tire!!
Sorry ,I hope you didn't take it the wrong way. It's usually a question which usually goes "What is the Absolute Biggest Tire I Can put on my Bla Bla Bla?" which rattles the cage's of a few here on the forum. Not making fun of you at all. If I haven't said so yet welcome to the forum GOLDMYN!
well i'm sorry too , no spacer needed on drum fronts or rears . i made a set of 15x8 steelies for my wht 67 300 rag , and got 15x8 1/2 old school americans on another 67 300 rag , had 15x8 1/2s on my 65 dodge 880 rag , went tall on the rubb'r on all 225/70's and 245/60's rears . these are drum brake cars . no budd disc on these .
guy had a set of rims/tires possibly for sale on another forum and had they fit, perhaps I would have bought them. Since they aren't the right size, I'll pass thanks for the comments
americans look so cool on these cars , i like your tto's american got real close on those . like them better then the so called 'd' spoke repop . i've got a collection of americans . i was part of the wheel display team for american's 50th aniversary party , as wallt parks musium at pomona raceway . was cool deal meet tv tommy , and a slue of dragracers from the hey days . bought one of these rims to the party , one of only 12 that are known in the world , my set was on tommy grove's 62 belvedere superstock maxwedge car 1 , made a pass at 165 . one way trip , chunked a rear rim , so that was that . i'm looking for a mate to replace the chunked one , but will never sell them . to much history there boys and girls . here is a few pics of them . can you feel it , when that rim let go at speed , tire has marks on it from hitting both sides of the rear inner fender wells . that will suck your seat up your butt !
