I dunno if this is a scam or not.
Sounds unrealistic to me.
Googling the phone number turned up other car ads.

You can chew on it for a while.

I'd say it's a scam. Almost 600k and not even a pic... Yeah he can't be serious. Maybe he needs a call from a rich oil Barron from Pakistan.

Shop I worked at around '94 or so restored a '69 corvette L88 and the dude sold it for 575,000.00 a couple months later. Lemme tell ya, that guy was "eccentric" and I'm using the term extremely loosely. No phones, no tvs, no electrical devices of any kind. He even carried a wind up pocket watch. The guy wouldnt even come into the shop or the office to see how his car was coming along so we had to roll everything out in the gravel for him. Maybe ole bubba is a nutcase like that too?

Could it be part of that hoard uncovered last year at that closed dealership in the Midwest? A lot of those were low or no mileage cars.

Nope. The Nebraska dealership had a 12-mile Cameo pickup, and a few other very low mile cars and trucks, but most assuredly, these three were NOT part of that collection. In fact, there were no tri-five Chevy cars in that batch at all, but there were a few trucks.

So the boys from deliverance are selling Chevys now??

Didn't they always ?

The Cameo had the roof of the dealership fall in on it. There were a lot of low mile cars in that auction that had been sitting out in the woods for 50 years, so they were all junk. There were a lot of stupid buyers at that auction, most of those cars weren't worth scrap value.

No, they were not all junk at all. The cars that were inside ('63 Impala SS, Cameo, and at least ten others) were dirty, but pretty damn nice. The Cameo had a DENT in the roof; it was not caved in or any of that. It wasn't like the truck was flattened or anything. The outside vehicles had varying degrees of rust and decay, but many were in pretty good shape. I don't know what pictures of the cars and trucks you were looking at, but most were definitely worth considerably more than "scrap value"...some indeed WERE worth scrap. I'd bet if that were a field/lot full of Mopars, your tune would be 180* opposite of what it is.

It wasn't like the truck was flattened or anything. The outside vehicles had varying degrees of rust and decay, but many were in pretty good shape. The only vehicles that I saw that weren't scrap were some of the trucks. I don't know what pictures of the cars and trucks you were looking at, but most were definitely worth considerably more than "scrap value"...some indeed WERE worth scrap. After 50 years of sitting in the mud what do you think the underside of those cars looked like ? I'd bet if that were a field/lot full of Mopars, your tune would be 180* opposite of what it is. A bunch of 4-door '59 Plymouth Savoy 6-cylinder cars that were left to rot by an idiot ? I'm pretty sure my tune would be the same.
