Tripple "Blackie" Imperial has made it home.

Great Friday afternoon, fantastic temps and clear sky. I was done a job early so got the polisher going on TB Imperial. Next the chrome and Interior clean up.

More scrubbing today. Whew. Still haven't done the chrome, just did the interior cleaning, dirrrttty. I'll oil up the leather after I clean up the door jambs and sills.
One dirty bucket of water per passenger area.

Jackson:

Did you get the car started?
Yes I did. I recorded the first start best I could being such a cave man with self promotion. Damn GoPro shuts off after a minute.
But yes, it went well.
Need to do some exhaust work and go over the brakes.

I had the front brakes done on it in 2006 (or whatever year that was) because the fronts seized when I was driving it home after having it shipped from Kansas to Michigan. It was in heated storage for the last 16 years. I will be curious to see how they are.

The muffler blew on the way home too. Then the windshield started to leak. It was an adventure to say the least.

I've never seen so many people follow someone clean up a car!
Blackie sure doesn't fit sideways in your garage.
You never got to mention what you used for the chrome.

Have a good day,
PT

No cussin on here but G..D... that's a beautiful 4 door, hope A/c works. That black sun absorbing monster will be a beast in the day but good lord from evening on through the night look out. The styling and proportions of that car are so good. Can just about imagine setting on that couch driving that. Still has that deep lustrous new looking black not that old faded sun soaked wore out black. Congratulations on your acquisition and efforts put forth it's a piece of americana to be sure.
