Wouldn't the white steering wheel, the empty space without any model designation in the dashboard above the glove box and the plain-Jane (vinyl?) bench seat allow the theory that the movie company bought an ex-CHP car, painted it blue with a black top and used it as a prop, knowing it gets damaged according to the script?
