W21 Road wheels 3461061 1970 only?

Bought a set of non chrome road wheels with the early tall center caps and splined end caps.Is 3461061 a 1970 only wheel? Can someone decode the stampings and date codefrom the pic?

Based on the above the year code is 9. 1979 does not match your center caps.

They were the standard wheel on 1970 Sport Fury GT’s & S/23’. They were used on non-C Body cars later in the’70’s. They are hard to find.

Looks like you have it covered. My only input is the 869 might be the date code of August 1969 but I don't know that for sure.
 
The Magnum GT wheels (15x7) and the Super Coupe wheels (15x8) both had the same bolt-on center cap centers, as in "no hub cap nubs" on them. The police 15x7s had the nubs to use hub caps which snapped on, as normal for hub caps.

The Magnum GT wheels had an application-specific paint. Highly metalized against a darker primer layer. Unsure of the Super Coupe Wheels, though.

At ONE time in the 1980s, both the Magnum GT and Super Coupe wheels were on the "factory closeout list" for "obsolete inventory" at Chrysler. ALL Chrysler dealers got a list of part numbers on this factory sale. (GM later followed suit on such a parts sale, too) I bought 3 sets of Magnum GT wheels for a bit less than $200.00 (each set, which included: 4 wheels, center caps, center cap screws, and trim rings), wholesale "over the front counter". The M GT wheels were about $18.00 each and the SC wheels were $21.00 each, for that sale. At that time, nobody apparently wanted these things OR knew of their existence. Like the box of 100 Mopar glass fuses for $1.00, possibly?

Reason I bought the M GT wheels was that I wanted something wider than the 15x5.5 wheels on my '80 Newport. So the M GT wheels made the car look better and handle better, too, even with P215/75R-15 "consumer" tires. After I discovered that the front floor section of those cars had the contours to mount a floor shifter (ala '79 Cordoba?), it made me wonder how things might have been for those cars IF Chrysler had marketed them in more of a Euro theme luxury car, rather than what they did? A few changes of parts in the package, a bit of black-out paint, and the 15x7 wheels could have done it. With, of course, a 4bbl V-8 motor.

I used to think if I had a time machine I'd go back and buy some stocks.

The "9" stamped into the inside of the rim indicated 1969, and only 1969 in this case. What are the stamping to the right and left of the valve stem hole(maybe you can provide a picture or two)? Are they the same for all four rims?? If they are not stamped there, then look in the inside lip of each rim for the codes, as provided by 1970FuryConv. They are not typically stamped there, but I have seen them especially on 14x5.5 Road wheels and the odd rallye wheel, also 14x5.5.

No that has nothing to do with the date. Those stampings are on the inside of each rim lip, probably on the opposite side from where the valve stem hole is. You need to find them. Having a matched set of four is much more valuable than four random dated ones. Do they all have the same M4 with a 9 under that, on each rim?
