Watkins Glen Speedway

My wife and I took our 67 Fury wagon on a roadtrip to upstate New York. For $30 you can take your car on the track for 3 laps following a pace vehicle and then picture ops. A few regular vehicles with some newer Mustangs and Challengers. The old wagon kept right up and hit a blistering 70mph on the straights. People got a kick out of it.

Your car looks really good compared to the other cars there. I rode around Watkins Glen with my brother in his MR2. The thing I remember most about it was that we had to sit in a line and wait for a while and I really had to go to the bathroom but I didn't want to lose our place in line so I just held it. I enjoyed the ride but after it was over I made a bee-line to the job johnnie.

I did that run 11 years ago. Not in my classic though.
