I am currently waiting for the arrival of my recently purchased 1967 Dodge Monaco Station Wagon from the US to here in the Scottish Borders, SCOTLAND, UK.
It’s a 383 with 2 barrel, laker side pipes & cherry bombs, slightly lowered, ‘patina’. It’s in Turbine Bronze. I plan to maintain & improve it, but don’t have the money or inclination to make it back into a concours original. Might well be tempted to fit some performance mods at some point, if I feel it needs it, but will probably start with electronic ignition and generally run it for a while to assess general mechanical requirements first.
I own a small pub in Kelso, and was lucky enough to meet a really nice retired Canadian guy that had been an engineer for 25 years on the assembly lines for Dodge during the time when my car was built - Mel Finkbeiner, he also had some NASCAR involvement, quite a coincidence!!
