Welcome, Northern Australia

Some of us like our Chryslers in Australia... We like the large styling (although very hard to park in my apartment building.) They were bigger and more powerful than other vehicles (Fords and Holden) at the time...
Your avatar looks like a 1969 Newport. If you want to post it’s fender tag, we could tell you more about options (including whether its 383 was originally 4-barrel).

Appreciate your kind offer of assistance... this is my fender tag....

Thanks again!!!

Thank you for posting CE27G9C255795 -- the E61 at the bottom left corner, and the G in the 13-digit VIN, tell us that your Newport convertible's 383 engine was originally equipped with a 2-barrel carb.

Interesting combination of options. Here is the tag, decoded using this link (with some edits, as the Stock Mopar decoder is good but not perfect):

Thank you sir. This is very helpful.

A previous owner must have put twin pipes on the vehicle sometime in the past.

Which options are a bit unusual for that period? The black finish was very unusual in Australian cars of that era. Perhaps black vehicles were not that common in the US at that time either?

I find it surprising that just about everything works, even 55 years later!!!

Thanks for sharing your knowledge to the other side of the world :)
