Welcome, SOVIET

I also have one of these Jaguar Mark 1 sedans. It has the XK Jaguar 3.4 engine with manual stick 4 speed plus overdrive box. I have a special technique on Jaguar engines and gearboxes. I remove them entirely and put in their place a US V8 and Tremec manual stick box. My car is waiting for a full restoration (basket case) to be commenced. It's very rusty but repairable. Both Jaguars have walnut veneered wooden dashboards and leather seats and I think both are nice shapes but I avoid bothering with the engines and gearboxes as the reliability of US made replacements is just too good to pass up. I am not into originality as I only buy I never sell and the cars are for me so I am immune to the sales market here.

In the second last photo to left front of the Camargue is our jail and police station both abandoned in 1967. My town Mount Coolon is named after the outlaw Tom Coolon who shot dead four men in 1918 over a gold claim dispute. So that's your outback car photo.
