The previous owner had the springs "rebuilt" at a local spring shop. They must have either broke the shackle bolts or torched them off. So they drilled the shackles out and welded bolts in. The shackle never really tightened up to the bushings like it should. That's the first problem.
Next they installed the shackle hanger on the wrong sides of the car. Left on right etc. Since one side of the shackle is bent, they bent the straight side to make it work.
The bushings never got changed either, so they were shot too.
The whole thing was a real mess to take apart. It's right now.
